Do I have to purchase tickets in advance? Can I pay with cash?
Tickets must be purchased in advance, and tours often sell out quickly. To maximize your chances of getting the day and time you prefer, please book well in advance. Tickets can only be purchased with a Visa, Mastercard, or American Express. Cash is not accepted.
If a tour is sold out can I get on a waiting list?
We do not provide a waiting list. If a date is sold out, there is always a chance that we will add an additional tour. Please click on the "Contact TrideGreen" link to the left of the page and let us know what date you are interested in.
What is the refund policy?
Unfortunately, we are unable to give refunds or reschedule Tours. Once you reserve, we guaranteed your space on the tour. No partial credits, refunds, or rescheduling is allowed for partial attendance, no shows, or late arrivals. It is your responsibility to show up at the right location, on time. The tours depart promptly.
What type of tickets are available for your tours and events?
There is one type of ticket available for our Telluride Green Tours: Standard Ticket (Wednesday through Saturday) - Ages 21 and up - $50.00 - *Participants must have a valid ID to enter dispensaries on tour.
Are the walking tours given in bad weather?
All of our tours are held 'snow' or shine. Please dress appropriately for the day's weather conditions.
How should I dress during a tour?
Please dress casual, comfortable, and appropriate for the different seasons in Telluride. You can get an accurate forecast at Weather.com's Telluride 10-Day Forecast
What should I expect if I take a Telluride Green Tour?
You should count on having fun and gaining a new level of appreciation for Telluride and legal marijuana. Our walking dispensary tours are led by local Telluridians who are passionate about Telluride's newly legal cannabis scene. During our tours you will learn about the history of Telluride, the legalization process, the differences in strains of marijuana plus an education of edibles and what you should know. You will walk through old mining neighborhoods, discover local hidden favs, and experience the best happy hour in town at the end of your tour.
Can I purchase cannabis during the tour?
Yes! Cannabis may be purchased independently during the tour. Tour participants also receive exclusive discounts for purchase both during and after the Tour. Don't worry if you did not get to purchase something during the Tour. You will have a map and know how to go back to that dispensary and you will still get your Green Tour discount just by showing your tour receipt.
How much walking is involved? Is it a fast-paced tour?
We are on our feet for approximately 2 hours. We walk at a casual pace, however this is a walking tour so please be prepared to cover a little less than a mile total. If you are not 'from altitude,' do not worry – the 'fitness' level of this tour is easy.
Please note that there are some stairs that we navigate during the tour. If stairs are a problem for you or any of your guests, please indicate that when you purchase your tickets so we can do our best to accommodate your needs.
How many people can attend a tour?
The maximum number of people per tour guide is 12.
What dispensaries do we visit on the tour?
We visit all four of the marijuana dispensaries and have a happy hour after at a local sports bar.
Can I bring food or drinks?
Feel free to bring light snacks for your enjoyment during the tour. We will provide you with a bottle of water at the start of the tour.
Are there any beverages served on the tour?
We supply everyone with a bottle of water at the start of the tour. There is also a Happy Hour tasting at the end of the tour.
Are your walking tours wheelchair accessible?
Wheelchairs are permitted on Telluride Green Tours. However due to the many narrow sidewalks that we walk on, certain staircases that we use when entering establishments, and the very small shops that we visit, a high versatility wheelchair is suggested. If you have further questions, please contact us.
Where does the tour end?
The tour will end a few blocks away from the starting location. Your tour guide will direct to your next destination. Meeting location details will be provided immediately upon purchase of tickets.
Are tours offered only in English?
Yes, we only offer tours in English at this time. If you would like to make arrangements for your own interpreter to join the tour, please contact Telluride Green Tours by clicking on the "Contact TrideGreen" link to the left of the page.
May I bring my dog on the tour?
Due to the various establishments we visit, pets of any kind are not allowed on this tour. However you will learn pet-friendly tips like which establishments offer 'puppy parking,' pet friendly establishments and more!
Does this tour have anything to offer a Telluride Local?
Definitely! Cannabis legalization is NEW to even the most veteran local.
I'm vacationing in Telluride, when is the best time to attend this tour?
We would suggest attending Telluride Green Tours on the early side of your vacation. It is not legal to have cannabis in your vehicle, or to take it on an airplane, so enjoying consumption during your stay in Telluride is best.
I'm no stranger to Cannabis. What's new for me to experience?
Even if you've been enjoying cannabis all your life, you will learn something new and exciting. You will discover the truth about potency of edibles, learn where the industry is headed from those in the know and hear cowboy stories from Telluride's colorful past!
Are tour guide gratuities included in the price?
Telluride Green Tours do not include gratuities in the cost of our tours. A standard gratuity for a tour guide in Telluride is 15% to 20% of the tour price. If you had a great time gratuities are happily accepted by our tour guides.
Are gift certificates available?

Can I book a private tour?
Yes, private tours are available. To book a private tour, please click on "More Activities" at the top of the page.
